A quick, easy and delicious pizza dough recipe!
Ingredients
1 Package (7g) active dry yeast
1 Teaspoon white sugar
1 Cup lukewarm water
2.5 Cups bread flour
2 Tablespoons olive oil
1 Teaspoon salt
Steps
Step 1:
Preheat oven to 230 degrees C.
Step 2:
In a small bowl, dissolve yeast and sugar in lukewarm water.
Let stand for approx. 10 minutes until mixture is creamy and cloudy.
Step 3:
In a large bowl, add flour, salt and olive oil.
Mix in the yeast mixture.
Mix and knead well.
Step 4:
Place dough ball in a bowl and cover.
Let rest/rise for 1 hour until at least double in size.
Step 5:
Turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface and roll out into pizza size.
Transfer crust onto a lightly greased/floured pan.
Step 6:
Place in the oven for 3min. This will make your base easier to handle for your pizza braai.
Remove from oven and have some fun with your toppings!
